Job Position Valuation Tool

On April 13, the “Job Position Valuation Tool” (Herramienta de la Valoración de Puestos de Trabajo) was officially released.

Its purpose is to provide companies with a framework for conducting an internal diagnosis to identify potential gender pay gaps and establish measures to reduce and eliminate such discrepancies.

This mechanism complies with the mandate set forth in the first final provision of Royal Decree 902/2020, of October 13, on equal pay between women and men.

The valuation procedure requires identifying all job positions within the company and providing an objective assessment of each, based on the nature of the work performed and specific characteristics such as physical, mental, and emotional effort, organizational and supervisory responsibilities, and autonomy.
